Carolina Moon Artist

Cynthia is a resident of Brevard, NC.  She relocated to Brevard after many years in Florida and New York to embrace and express her love of the mountains of Western North Carolina.  After retiring from her duties as a teacher, she now focuses her energies on painting and visual storytelling. Her passion for storytelling led her to write and illustrate several children’s books. She now uses this passion to express her love of the nature that surrounds her.  She also sketches in pen and ink enhanced with color to share music and activities that add to the colorful and vibrant lifestyle found here in WNC.

Her study of art includes classes at the University of Florida in Gainesville as well as private lessons with some of the recognized masters.  Cynthia uses many different mediums including pencil drawing, pen and ink, acrylic clay, paper mache, photography, acrylic and mixed media.
